Clutch – They. Just. Rock. No further explanation required. If I wasn’t too old to carry a lunchbox, I would be proudly lugging their’s around. One of the best live bands you will ever see. Just pick an album, any album, for a lesson in rock.
The Drive-By Truckers – Take it from a Southerner who abhores Southern rock, these guys are one of the best bands I’ve run across in years. Currently sitting in my All-Time Top 10, The Dirty South has forced me to re-think some of my opinions on where I came from and about a lot of the people that populate it.
Andrew Vachss – Hero, warrior, lightning rod, attorney, first-rate author. In the fight to protect our children, this man stands at the front lines. Check out his site for more about his mission and for a good taste of his fiction, start with Born Bad.
